CEE's 2020 Annual Report
In a year like none other, CEE’s teams performed like never before. Facing unprecedented challenges, we invested in our employees and our community relationships — opening doors to learning, policymaking, and financing that laid the ground for a better clean energy future for all.
Among the year’s milestones, CEE’s teams quickly innovated new ways to serve more than 8,000 homes and businesses in the Upper Midwest with practical energy-saving solutions. We nearly doubled our Minnesota lending for home solar projects over the previous year. We heightened our intentions toward racial equity and cultural awareness with sharper organizational practices and an ever-stronger staff who increasingly reflect the true breadth of our community.
And we did it all with attention to evolving safety guidelines and no layoffs, holding the well-being of our people and those we serve at the very top of our priority list.
Although the year’s challenges were plenty, it was not without its bright spots: Clean, efficient energy for all makes good sense even in hard times. And as a community-embedded nonprofit, we know full well that our achievements are your achievements too.
To discover and deploy the best energy solutions that strengthen our economy and our environment, we depend on deep collaborations with a multitude of peers and partners.
