This week, Center for Energy and Environment announced that Minnesota's Department of Commerce has selected Center for Energy and Environment to implement the state's first Efficient Technology Accelerator program. Using a comprehensive intervention strategy called "market transformation," this statewide program is designed to foster faster and cheaper improvements in energy efficiency.
CEE will collaborate with funding utilities and other stakeholders to engage deeper with efficient tech product developers, manufacturers, distributors, and more — all to ensure that the best energy efficient products make it into Minnesota homes and businesses as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. Coupled with related carbon emission reductions, this program promises long-term individual and societal benefits.
Using a comprehensive intervention strategy called "market transformation," this statewide program is designed to foster faster and cheaper improvements in energy efficiency.
Building on decades of experience, the effort will put even more weight behind CEE's nonprofit mission to discover and deploy the most effective energy solutions to strengthen the economy while improving the environment. Market transformation aims to do exactly that for CEE's home state.
This program will require many capable hands. As the team digs into planning for next year's kick-off, interested field colleagues are encouraged to visit the program website to learn about this important collaborative effort on behalf of Minnesota consumers, including CEE's starter portfolio of technologies and a growing list of related job openings. In coming months, CEE will be hiring regularly for this important work.
