Public Policy

As a non-profit, CEE believes that an integral part of its mission is to advocate for public policies that are in the best interest of all of society. With this in mind, CEE has shaped public policy for the most efficient use of natural and economic resources. Energy efficiency is of central interest to CEE because it is the lowest cost way to meet future energy needs and it reduces the environmental damage caused by electric generation and transmission. CEE is also an active participant in policy deliberations on a variety of other energy and environmental issues.
