CEE's highly skilled engineering staff is nationally recognized for its expertise in energy-related technologies and applications. They provide technical assistance for commercial and industrial buildings with a focus on providing practical solutions for complex energy issues.
Current Programs
CEE's EBCx is a comprehensive and systematic process to improve the operations of building systems to ensure they meet occupant needs while minimizing energy use. EBCx provides healthy, comfortable and productive work environments by bringing ventilation and indoor air quality up to standards, solving persistent problems with building operation, and training Operations and Management (O&M) staff to improve building performance.
The One-Stop Efficiency Shop, sponsored by Xcel Energy, is a full-service rebate program designed to address the concerns small business owners face when choosing more efficient lighting: limited financial resources and time, limited knowledge of lighting products and access to quality contractors.
The Public Building Enhanced Energy Efficiency Program (PBEEEP) provides technical and financial assistance for local and state government facilities seeking to contain operational costs, create jobs and reduce emissions through energy-related infrastructure improvements and initiatives.
Residential Energy Programs
In 1981, CEE staff conducted the first blower-door audit in Minnesota on a South Minneapolis home. Since then, CEE has designed and implemented innovative programs that have helped tens of thousands of homeowners improve their home's energy performance.
Current Programs
Home Energy Squad visits are currently available to homeowners who are either a CenterPoint Energy natural gas customer AND an Xcel Energy electric customer, or receive both natural gas and electric services from Xcel Energy.
Congregation Energy Savings
Through this program CEE will provide a way for your congregation to tangibly demonstrate its commitment to environmental stewardship and engage congregants to save energy in their homes. As a part of this program CEE will come to your congregation and give a presentation about energy efficiency, including tips the whole family can use to save energy at home. In addition to the presentation congregants will have the opportunity to sign up for a special discounted “Home Energy Squad Enhanced Visit” .
Business Bringing Energy Efficiency Home
CEE will help your employees save energy in the workplace and at home using an educational workshop held over lunch. At the workshop employees will get energy saving tips and have the opportunity to sign up for a special discounted "Home Energy Squad Advanced Visit"
CEE has extensive experience implementing ventilation and indoor air quality (IAQ) procedures for numerous sound insulation programs in different climates. Since 1992, CEE has supervised and tested improvements in over 8,600 houses in the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Noise Mitigation Program. CEE's nationally-recognized experts have provided IAQ training and diagnostic services to sound insulation programs across the country.
