On Tuesday June 19, the Innovation Exchange hosted an open house to mark our official launch and showcase our new space. A big thank you to everyone who attended and to those of you who have been involved in CEE’s incubation, research, and dissemination activities!

Cloud computing moves software and data from local servers to store it on servers in remote locations. It has been said to provide energy efficiency benefits compared to in-house servers. Working in the cloud also enhances productivity, communication, and collaboration.

Nancy Lange joined CEE as Operations Manager of the Innovation Exchange in April 2012. In this guest post, she'll introduce herself and her vision of our role in a clean energy future.

This week, the Innovation Exchange is moving down the hall from the main CEE Downtown office. We’re experimenting with a new open layout and our new space features a lab where our research staff can upload data or perform experiments.

The Latin phrase id est translates to “that is” or “in other words.” Its abbreviation, i.e., is also the initials of the Innovation Exchange. Here we’ll share insights and analysis about our research, programs, and other activities in energy efficiency.
