One-Stop Efficiency Shop℠ Lighting Retrofits

The One-Stop Efficiency Shop® is a full-service lighting rebate program available to small businesses in Xcel Energy's Minnesota service territory with an electric demand of 400 KW or less.

Program Description

The program’s full service approach is specifically designed to address concerns small business owners face when choosing more efficient lighting: limited financial resources and time, limited knowledge of lighting products and access to quality contractors. Program services include:

A free lighting audit with detailed recommendations, estimated project costs, rebates and savings
Substantial rebates up to 60% of the project cost
Convenient and attractive financing options
A simple, one-stop service that minimizes participant time
A pool of qualified contractors to reduce the hassle of collecting bids
Start-to-finish oversight of the entire lighting retrofit
Completion of all program paperwork

To date the One-Stop Efficiency Shop has served 9,800 businesses, eliminating 95 MW of demand and 343,600 Mwh of energy use. Program participants will save $385 million over the lifetime of the equipment. Good candidates for the program include businesses with long operating hours like: bowling alleys, car dealerships, retailers, restaurants, hotels, banks, light industrial plants, nursing homes, parking ramps and office buildings.
